The Lockhart Inn was Wyoming’s first B and B.  The Inn was moved in 1983 to the existing address at 109 W. Yellowstone Avenue in Cody, closer to the original townsite of Cody.
The renovation and restoration has taken place initially upon the more and over the years the owner has made subtle changes.
Presently, the Lockhart is working on “theme rooms” and will have rooms in the bed and breakfast with different themes.

The Caroline is adorned in soft hues of pale yellow and sage green and is done in vintage western furniture, Monterey furniture from the late 1930’s.
Wampus Cat is Victorian and decorated in soft peaches and pale greens, and
Bitterroot is on the western side. All of these rooms house a queen bed and all have private baths with claw footed tubs and showers.
These three rooms are on the first floor off the common areas.

The second floor is home to the following rooms:
Suzette, named after Carolyn Lockhart’s pen name, is decorated in western style, housing a King bed and a set of bunks.
The Lady Doc, is done in soft tones o turquoise, peach and sage and reflects an era of yesteryear, queen bed.
Me Smith, has a hint of oriental flare and has two queen beds, and Full of the Moon displays a modern western edge. This room houses paintings from famous painters in the area with a bit of “edge”, bright colors, in their art. This room houses a queen and double bed.

The common areas on the first floor invite you to sit in the parlor and enjoy music, games or visit while you sip on iced tea or lemonade, always in the guest refrigerator.
The nightly rodeo is walking distance to the west and is nightly from June 1 to August 31 so most guests partake of this opportunity to see what Cody has to offer in rodeo fair.
Breakfast is served in the morning from 8 am to 9:30 am
It is cook’s choice and a menu lists the morning meal. You sign up by 10pm the night before to reserve your table and in the morning come on into the dining area to have fresh coffee, hot cocoa and an assortment of teas with your breakfast.
Miss Nancy is your hostess and will be checking you into your rooms and doing all the morning fixings.

The Inn is presently being redecorated so on the web it will show the existing rooms. If you pick a room it will be surprise when you arrive.
